Fort Street Real Estate Capital provides investment and property management services to the underlying wholesale trusts which the funds invest in. Two representatives of Fort Street Advisers, Richard Hunt and Ian Holmes, and two directors from Evans Dixon Group, Alex MacLachlan and Jaclyn Strelow, are currently directors of Fort Street Real Estate Capital. Their qualifications and expertise are below.
Prior to joining Fort Street Real Estate, David was Capital Transactions Manager with Charter Hall, where he was involved across 16 listed and unlisted funds, with a total exposure of $10 billion commercial real estate funds under management. David also previously served as Capital Transactions Manager with Macquarie Real Estate, executing several transactions across Japan, Italy, Germany and Australia, and held other roles within Macquarie Group including the Macquarie Office Trust, a $6 billion global REIT, and the Securitisation division.
David has a Master in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London and Associateship of the City and Guilds of London Institute.
Prior to joining Fort Street, Jason was the National Property Manager for Coles Express, responsible for developing and executing the business’ growth strategy, along with overseeing the management of the 680+ store fleet. Previously Jason had been a Portfolio Manager for the Coles Group, responsible for the performance of seventeen shopping centre assets. Jason has also managed iconic retail and office assets such as the Carnaby Street precinct and the Charing Cross Road bookshops, both in London’s West End.
Jason holds a Masters of Business Administration (Executive) and is a licensed estate agent.
Prior to joining Fort Street Real Estate Capital Nick was a Centre Manager at Dexus where he oversaw the operations of the redeveloped Gateway Sydney in Circular Quay. Nick also held roles at Dexus in Asset Management and Asset Services.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Property Economics from the University of Technology Sydney.
Nick has 17 years’ experience in commercial finance, corporate advisory and performance improvement roles with broad industry experience spanning property, utilities and financial services. Immediately prior to joining Fort Street Nick was responsible for the financial function of a business unit with circa $500m in turnover, leading a finance team responsible for a portfolio of in excess of 20 contracts and businesses across Australia and New Zealand. This followed many years in advisory roles for McGrathNicol and KPMG in Australia and Europe.
Nick is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Prior to Fort Street, Waqar was a Financial Analyst for Dixon Advisory, assisting a wide range of clients manage wealth in retirement through specialist advice on areas including superannuation structure, investment portfolio construction, and defined benefit schemes.
Waqar holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the Australian National University.
Prior to joining Fort Street Real Estate Capital, Kathryn held various roles in commercial agency at CBRE, covering leasing and capital markets across the commercial, retail and industrial sectors. Kathryn also gained previous experience in advisory services at KPMG where she provided valuation and transaction strategy advice to large corporate and government clients.
Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management, awarded by Kingston University in 2012. She is also a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Amanda has 12 years experience in a corporate environment, eight of these in the real estate sector. Prior to joining the team Amanda worked for CBA, CBRE and McGrath where she held various organisation roles.
